CUBAN CHILDREN EXPRESS THEIR VIEWS ON NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, PRESIDENT OBAMA
El Presidente Barack Obama ganó el premio Nobel de la Paz porque se esfuerza en fortalecer la diplomacia y la amistad entre los pueblos. Los niños Cubanos lo felicitamos y queremos ser sus amigos.
This was just one of the many messages of peace and friendship depicted in drawings submitted by Cuban children as part of a contest hosted by the U.S. Interests Section (USINT) in recognition of the Nobel Peace Prize award to President Barack Obama. The contest was launched three weeks prior to the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony which took place on December 10, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.
Children from Havana and seven provinces throughout Cuba participated in the friendly competition. Using pencils, crayons, and paper, they expressed their thoughts and feelings about the Nobel Peace Prize and the President of the United States. They were also tested on their knowledge of previous Nobel Peace Prize recipients.
