Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Craig Kelly speaks at USINT Town Hall Meeting
On February 18, USINT Chief of Mission Jonathan Farrar and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ambassador Craig Kelly hosted a Town Hall Meeting for USINT personnel. Ambassador Kelly led the US delegation visiting Havana for migration talk held on February 19, 2010.
During the Meeting, Ambassador Kelly recognized the ongoing work of USINT personnel and their preparations for the February 19 bilateral migration talks with the Government of Cuba. He reiterated the desire of the United States Government to identify areas for potential engagement with the Government of Cuba that serve the interests of both our peoples.
Ambassador Kelly has served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State since September 2007. Prior to this, he was US Ambassador to Chile from 2004 to 2007, and served as Executive Assistant to Secretary of State Colin Powell from March 2001 to June 2004. He is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service and speaks Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese.
