Refugee Interview Schedule
Applicants for refugee status are given a pre-screening interview if the responses on their preliminary questionnaire demonstrate they have suffered persecution. We will not interview those who submit preliminary questionnaires that do not comply with the requirements to participate in this program. Because we have over 16,000 applications, the waiting period for a pre-screening interview can be up to several years from the submission date of the Preliminary Questionnaire.
We are now interviewing Cubans who received an information letter from us in May 2007.
If you received an information letter on or before that date and you have not been scheduled for an interview, please call the Refugee Office at (53)(7) 839-4125 from Monday to Thursday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and on Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm to set an appointment date.
