On Saturday, July 8, USINT Havana’s Chief of Mission John Caulfield enjoyed some quality time with USA Baseball collegiate stars. Representing states from Oregon to Florida, Team USA listened attentively to the veteran diplomat as he explained a little more about life in Havana and relations between the two countries. An avid baseball fan, he was delighted to receive the team cap, and even more pleased to note that baseball is a wonderful bridge between the peoples of the United States and Cuba. An enthusiastic group of USINT employees cheered on Team USA later that evening as they played a close game against Cuban professional players.
