Voting Information (Absentee Ballots)

Voting From Cuba

The American Citizen Services Unit assists U.S. citizens who are residing in or traveling to Cuba with voter registration and voting.  However, because there is no mail service between the U.S. and Cuba, the Interests Section highly recommends that U.S. citizens attempt to vote early or absentee using a United States address well before the election.

The American Citizen Services Unit recommends visiting the Federal Voter Assistance Program (FVAP) website in order to obtain the most up-to-date information for the state and county in which the U.S. citizen will be voting.  The Interests Section can assist U.S. citizens in filling out forms found on the FVAP website, sending the forms to the United States, and receiving ballots on behalf of U.S. citizens.  We recommend U.S. citizens contact our office several months before the election takes place to ensure that all forms are processed in time.
